50/50

Grade: B+

50/50 was funny and surprisingly thoughtful. Seth Rogen and Anna Kendrick (who was marvelous in Up in the Air, one of the best movies of 2009) stay in their comfort zone and play the exact kinds of characters they’re suited for. Usually that annoys me, but here it’s nice to see actors knowing their strengths and playing to them. The last two words spoken in this movie hit just the right note, and summed it up perfectly for me. Grade: B+
