At its best, Zero Dark Thirty is a chilling reminder of an historic event so recent, everybody reading this right now can remember what it was like. Unfortunately, the build-up to the intense, thrilling final sequence is 2 hours of mostly plodding, boring dialogue which I’m not sure was movie-worthy. Might have made a wonderful documentary or short. I’d have left it off the Best Picture list. Grade: C+
