Monsters University

At the end of Monsters Inc, it is realized that Monstropolis gets much more “juice” from children’s laughter than their scares. Monsters University, its prequel, is all about characters who go to school so they can learn how to be scary. After an interminable game sequence, we’re treated to clunky, heavy-handed lines like “I act scary a lot, but really, I’m terrified.” Monsters U lacks the heart of the first movie, wears out its welcome long before the end, and yields very little laughter juice.
