There’s a massive shootout in the last hour of Django Unchained. I didn’t know which characters were hurt or who was ok, nor did I care at that moment. I was spellbound at this beautiful sequence, as I watched the bodies fall and the blood fly like specks of dust, as it coated the white walls of the plantation. It was an exercise in style as all of Quentin Tarantino’s films are. It’s frustrating having to confine movie reviews to the space limitations of a Facebook post, as I have more to say than what you see here. Not all of QT’s movies have been my favorite (I’m looking at you, Jackie Brown and Kill Bill v. 1), but I really believe he is incapable of making a boring movie.
