The Impossible is the most harrowing, exhausting, difficult-to-watch movie I’ve seen all year. It’s about the true story of a family who fell victim to the Tsunami that happened in late 2004. Awesome work by Naomi Watts, Ewan McGregor (who turns out to have a larger role than I originally would have guessed, hint hint), and the child actors. My expectations for the film – upon seeing the trailer a few months ago – were exceeded several-fold. I’m not sure if I want to see it again anytime soon, but I strongly believe you should.
